GENE ABEL, INTERIOR DESIGNER
Gene’s nearly 30 years of experience add function and value to each bathroom and kitchen design project he completes. He has had projects featured in Dream Kitchens (2006), Better Homes and Gardens Remodeling Ideas (2005), Fantastic Kitchens (2006), Indianapolis Home Magazine, The Indianapolis Star, and the Indianapolis Monthly Magazine.
When approaching any new build or kitchen remodeling project, Gene is sensitive to architectural history and believes it is important to reference the fundamental elements of design. He encourages you to manipulate those elements of design and to consider breaking rules in order to make each space reflective of yourself and your lifestyle. Above all, Gene says have fun during the design process while attaining the results you want.
A graduate of Indiana State University, Gene has a B.S. in Interior Design, a FIDER Accredited Program. He also holds an Associate Degree in Architectural Design History. Accredited by ASID, and a member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Gene's specialty is his hand-drawn perspective views and sketches. His expert direction and attention to detail will give you the look and function you want in any space in your home.
When he’s not busy designing great spaces for clients, Gene enjoys working on his rural Montgomery County farm and 1904 farmhouse. He loves to ride his American Quarter horses and attends shows and rodeos. In addition, Gene is a collector of Western and Cowboy Art, Furniture and Memorabilia.
